Home > Senator Kennedy > Senator Kennedy Diagnosed With A Malignant Brain Tumor

Allow me to put political philosophies aside for the moment. Whether or not you agree politically with Senator Kennedy, in this time of turmoil for him and his family, I am sending out my heartfelt prayers and wishes.

Senator Kennedy was diagnosed with a tumor known as a Glioma. A Glioma is a primary central nervous system tumor that mainly arises in the brain, but can affect any part of the central nervous system. This is a type of cancer that effects approximately .003% of Americans each year or about 1 in every 33,000.

Survival ranges from less than one year in severe cases to up to five years in slower growing cases. The exact type of glial cells involved in Senator Kennedy’s case has not yet been determined and a prognosis will be made then.

I ask all of you to pray for Senator Kennedy and his family.

A noble post, well done. He may not be about our brand of politics but these circumstances trancend this…

I wish libs could ever put politics behind them to act equally sincere. They would be dancing in the streets if this was a Republican.

It’s tough for the Kennedy family right now. And regardless of his politics, Kennedy has been a leader in the Senate and has fought passionately for his beliefs. I respect that.

Thanks for showing you’re a good person.
