The new talking point for the Democrat party seems to be how many houses John McCain has. Somehow, because he has seven houses, the correlation must be that he is out of touch with “regular” Americans. I mean, who has seven houses? Conspicuous consumption of resources..That’s what that is. Or at least that’s how Obama hopes you see it. He hopes you will be so jealous about the wealth of John McCain that you will rush to the polls to vote for him (Obama). He hopes his attempts at fostering more class envy will work to enfuriate you.
Does the number of homes John McCain owns really matter to you? Do you really care about it? If you do, I pose the following questions:
1. How many of John McCain’s homes were purchased with the assistance of convicted felon, Tony Rezko? All of Obama’s home(s) were.
2. Are you that jealous of someone because they made a success of themselves that you have nothing better to do than complain about how much money someone else has? Maybe it’s time to get up off the couch and go out there and try to make that kind of money for yourself. After all, despite the grim picture of America that is constantly painted by Barack Obama, America is the greatest country on earth and provides more opportunity than any other in the world. Go make something of yourself and stop complaining because someone else has more than you.
I think it a notable fact that one of John McCain’s homes is used to house an elderly aunt. He takes care of his family. Anyone wanna tell me how helpful Obama has been to his relatives? At least one of his brothers is living in a hut on $1 per month. Obama is worth around $2.5 million. If you had that kind of money, wouldn’t you help your own brother? Obama doesn’t.
Another notable fact is, that since you may suffer from Class Envy, let’s see which party if closer to you:
According to Opensecrets.org, of the top ten richest members of the United States Senate, SEVEN of them are Democrats. In fact, the top 6 are Democrats. Ranked in this order from richest to less rich are:
1. John Kerry (D-MA)
2. Herb Kohl (D-WI)
3. Ted Kennedy (D-MA)
4. Jay Rockefeller (D-WV)
5. Diane Feinstein (D-CA)
6. Frank Lautenberg (D-NJ)
7. Elizabeth Dole (R-NC)
8. John McCain (R-AZ)
9. Hillary Clinton (D-NY)
10. Lamar Alexander (R-TN)
By contrast, six of the top ten poorest (and by the way, by poorest they mean less than $10M) U.S. Senators are Republicans. So next time you ask yourself which party lives most like you, look at the Republicans.
But I digress. Back to the houses. Mitt Romney was asked how many houses he owned and immediately responded “One fewer than John Kerry”. If liberals want to take up the banner of class envy based on how many homes someone owns, I hope for their own good, they don’t debate Mitt Romney with that silly issue.
